Fomo vs GMGN: the sources don't agree
GMGN's own documentation says it charges 1% per transaction. A widely-cited third-party fee comparison from March 2026 puts it at 0.5%. Most comparison pages quietly pick whichever number suits them. We are going to show you both, because which one is true changes the answer completely.
The short answer
| If GMGN charges 1% (their docs) | Fomo is cheaper above ~$95 per trade |
| If GMGN charges 0.5% (third-party) | GMGN cheaper below ~$190 · Fomo + code cheaper above |
| Fomo rate | 0.5%, or 0.45% with code FEESAVE, minimum ~$0.95 per trade |
| Extra fees on top | Both — token platform fees, priority tips, on-ramp fees |
| Form factor | Fomo: mobile social app · GMGN: web terminal and bot |
Two numbers, both published
We are not going to pretend this is settled. Here is exactly what each source says, and which one we lean on.
| Source | What it says | Weight we give it |
|---|---|---|
| GMGN's own documentation | "GMGN only charges a 1% handling fee for a single transaction, and there are no additional charges" | Primary — strongest |
| Third-party bot comparison, March 2026 | GMGN listed at 0.5%, alongside Axiom, BullX and Photon | Third party — could be stale or product-specific |
The most likely explanations are that pricing changed between the two, or that the figures describe different GMGN surfaces. We could not resolve it from public sources, so we are flagging it instead of guessing. Confirm the rate inside GMGN before you trade.
Scenario A — GMGN at 1% (their documentation)
| Trade size | GMGN @ 1% | Fomo standard | Fomo + FEESAVE | Cheapest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $50 | $0.50 | $0.95 | $0.95 | GMGN |
| $95 | $0.95 | $0.95 | $0.95 | Identical — break-even |
| $500 | $5.00 | $2.50 | $2.25 | Fomo — less than half |
| $1,000 | $10.00 | $5.00 | $4.50 | Fomo |
| $5,000 | $50.00 | $25.00 | $22.50 | Fomo, by $27.50 |
Scenario B — GMGN at 0.5% (third-party listing)
| Trade size | GMGN @ 0.5% | Fomo standard | Fomo + FEESAVE | Cheapest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $50 | $0.25 | $0.95 | $0.95 | GMGN |
| $190 | $0.95 | $0.95 | $0.95 | Identical — break-even |
| $1,000 | $5.00 | $5.00 | $4.50 | Fomo with the code |
| $5,000 | $25.00 | $25.00 | $22.50 | Fomo with the code |
Fomo figures assume the ~$0.95 minimum is not discounted by the referral code. None of these figures include token launch-platform fees, priority tips or deposit costs, which apply on both sides.
Under either scenario, small trades are cheaper on GMGN and large trades are cheaper on Fomo with the code. Only the crossover moves — $95 if GMGN charges 1%, $190 if it charges 0.5%. If you are trading in size, the Fomo answer holds either way. If you are trading small, it does not, and no referral code fixes that.
What sits on top of the headline rate
Token platform fees
GMGN's documentation notes that token issuance platforms charge their own fee during transactions, giving Pump.fun's 1% as the example. That is not GMGN's fee, but you still pay it — and the same class of cost applies wherever you trade the same token.
Priority tips
GMGN describes optional priority fees, capped at 2 SOL, paid to validators and private nodes rather than collected by GMGN. Raising them buys faster inclusion, which matters most in exactly the conditions where you least want to wait.
Network gas
GMGN does not collect gas — you pay the chain. Fomo is reported to sponsor gas across its supported chains, which is a genuine structural difference rather than a discount.
Getting money in
Fomo routes card and Apple Pay deposits through a payment partner that takes its own cut and may run its own checks. GMGN is reached with crypto you already hold. Neither is free; the cost just sits in a different place.

We could not resolve GMGN's true current rate, confirm whether GMGN operates any referral or volume discount, or verify its custody model. We also could not confirm whether Fomo's referral discount touches its minimum fee. Where we do not know, we have said so rather than filled the gap.
Frequently asked
What does GMGN actually charge? +
The sources disagree. GMGN's own documentation states that it charges a 1% handling fee for a single transaction with no additional charges. A third-party fee comparison dated March 2026 lists GMGN at 0.5%. We treat the official documentation as the stronger source but show both figures rather than quietly picking one.
Is Fomo cheaper than GMGN? +
If GMGN charges 1%, Fomo is cheaper on any trade above roughly $95, and much cheaper on larger trades. If GMGN charges 0.5%, the answer matches the Axiom comparison: GMGN is cheaper below about $190 per trade because Fomo applies a ~$0.95 minimum, and Fomo with a referral code is cheaper above it.
Are there extra fees on top on either platform? +
Yes, on both. GMGN's documentation notes that token launch platforms can charge their own fee on top, giving Pump.fun's 1% as an example, and that optional priority tips go to validators rather than to GMGN. Fomo sponsors network gas on supported chains but deposits routed through a payment partner carry that partner's fee.
If you trade in size, Fomo wins under either reading.
